Plant World

We just joined here recently I really like the place. It’s prices are reasonable and cashiers seemed friendly on our first two visits but today they were a little backed up and a third person came out to help /young girl/and was rude, customers were confused on who was next,and she started yelling at people. I let the people in back of me go ahead of me . And I went to the back of the line, I should have left but I don’t think I ll be going back. I was unfortunately waited on by this person anyway,she did not want to give me a receipt for some reason??? But I told her I wanted one !!

Today I had a simple purchase, walked in the front door, stood in the first line I saw, waited while a couple in front of me bought a large number of plants, then I was told by an officious checkout person that there was only one line and I had to go to the back of it. Meanwhile other customers were able to go over to the customer service desk. Eventually I was asked to go there too, but at that point I was the only one in line. I did ask to speak to the manager, the person behind the desk did politely say that that was a problem they had not thought of. I suspect this person has had corporate customer service training given the glib reply. I did not get to speak to the manager hence this review. My wife and I have spent tens of thousands of dollars, either personally or through our landscaper in the 11 years we have lived here. Making me this angry on a Saturday afternoon for a simple purchase of 3 bags of cotton burrs is not worth it. Customer treatment is better at the box stores. Get some signs. I am no clairvoyant. I also deserve respect. I appreciate that the other customers waiting in line might get angry, but they somehow knew there was a line, because there is a sign when you come in from the larger area out back. I didn't need to go there today, so I didn't waste my time going out the back.

I' ve been going to Plant World for years. Sadly, one of the cashiers was yelling at customers on my last two visits. The cashier was rude to my husband and I during check out. She was upset when we didn't know the name if the lilac we were buying and yelled at us about pricing. I don't work there, nor price plants. When I returned a week later the same cashier was yelling at an elderly man probably in his 80's about not following the customer line. She scolded and belittled this poor gentleman who was buying a single plant. (Those of us in line did not see the sign either. ) She definitely gave him a lecture on how to stand behind a worn out line. She is not good for Plant World!

By far the largest wholesale nursery in New Mexico with the widest selection of plants. 19 acres of awesome. Many native/xeric plants. Especially love the fruit tree selection. Cant wait for my figs, apricots and nectarines to ripen that i planted last fall! Also great options for organic gardening 💚 5/5 would recommend. You can even walk around and check it out before becoming a member!
